My Epiphany Poem by Katheryn Foley

My Epiphany

I'm so sick of myself,
Asking for someone to help,
When I know that I can do this,
I've forgotten all that's right,
And I've followed all the wrong,
Searching for the light on my own,

I've broken all the rules,
Left you hurt and bruised,
And I feel like you should know,
That I've lost all of control,
And that's why I left you so cold,

But I want to fix this site,
I want to make things right,
Take back whats left of your broken heart,
And try to make it whole again.

I know that it will take some time,
To repair the damage and make everything fine,
But when we make it we'll feel so proud,
Standing ovation, Pleasing the crowd.
