My Dear Friend Poem by lilo chico

My Dear Friend

Rating: 5.0

I heard that you had passed away
I have no words, on what to say
Heartbroken, disturbed and also sad,
I wish you never went away

My confidant, friend and brother too
These 3 words I felt for you.
A family man, a genuine friend,
My “brother” who stood by till the end.

I will miss your words of wisdom,
Your laughter and sayings too,
The way you loved your family,
Like only a real man can do.

The sacrifices you always made,
The times that you were there,
The burdens that you helped me carry,
When it was too much for me to bare.

You devoted your life to your family,
And preaching the gospel through,
You touched the lives of others
With your warmth and friendliness too

I will never say goodbye,
Cause in my heart you will always be,
The care you always had.
The advice you always gave.
The hurt that you could mend.
And until that day we meet again,
I love you, my dear friend.
