My Cross

i carry my cross
like i was born
with it
i never complain
though sometimes
it's a heavy load
i will keep my cross
though how many
times i fall
i will rise
again and
again
because i know
someday
someone will
lift my cross
from my shoulder
and carry it for me
through the rest
of my journey
