My Best Friend Poem by Coco Nitty AKA Peter Cloutier

My Best Friend

Since the moment we met,
We've been bonded together,
I know you'd never leave me,
No matter the mood or the weather,
I've gotten used to the your hands,
Brushing my hair.
I've actually come to like it,
It cheers me up in despair.
I rarely feel sad,
While your by my side,
And you always feel glad,
To play with me and you tried
To make those times last forever.
But forever does end,
And now were both trying hard,
To make sure it's not a trend.
I'm just getting old,
Although I lasted awhile,
It's hard to run and jump.
Just happy I'm not senile.
So today I just want to let you know,
No matter where you go,
I'll always be with you,
I'm the dog you loved like a pro,
Thanks to you,
I lived to be happy,
And as I grew,
I may have been snappy,
But my message to you,
Is to never stop living,
And the son I left behind,
Is what I'm giving...

To my best friend.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was just trying to look at life through a dog's point of view, And once again I thought of something depressing to write, but I was trying to think outside of the box.
Hope you like it, rate high if you do, I'm trying to make an eBook of my best work.
