My Baby Boy Poem by Anne Marie

My Baby Boy

In a mystical land where the rain fails to sprinkle, and rainbows fail to glow,
The stars in the sky have lost their twinkle, the wind can’t seem to blow,

The sun it hangs, up in the sky yet doesn’t know how to shine,
The children play but cannot laugh, the flowers wilt and die,

Silence is golden, but not forever, the music soon must play,
Forgotten notes, forgotten songs, may this curse now fly away,

Cars roll by without a sound, the T.V plays on mute,
A little girl plays a silent tune, upon her Granma’s flute,

All of a sudden, a wonderful thing, happened to this place,
The curse was lifted from the land, my heart began to race,

A happiness sweeps the streets, the birds begin to sing,
Your beautiful face lights up the sun, joy is what you bring,

The stars begin to brightly glow, music starts to play
The rain showers stone dry plants, a miracle is this day

Red, yellow, pink and blue – a rainbow formed by you,
Pleasure you give to all you see, you bring a love so true,

Granma’s flute will play for you, your perfect through and through
You put a smile upon my face, my baby, I love you
