My Apology Poem by Dana Owens

My Apology

I'm sorry for my screw ups, and mistakes, So far from perfect, but I guess I can say I'm okay at least I am today. But can't promise that okay is going to stay in place, because as days roll past everyday it changes, can't say it's for the best because it's usually the the worst, I swear it seems like my life is a curse, sick and tired of feeling nothing but hurt, but something's got to give at least for my kids, Heck they're the only reason that I live, seems like happiness is just a fib, but I got to keep pushing forward for what was once dreams have become goals I got to reach, so everybody will see that I can and will succeed ain't nothing stopping me, never break my stride there's one thing you can't take, and that's my pride, and you best believe this long hair country girl will survive!
