My Anxiety, Depression Poem by Anna Haines

My Anxiety, Depression

Rating: 5.0

Laying down staring at the ceiling eyes focusing at the tiles..
Heart races....why? ...
Heart sinks to my stomach..
The racing feeling of emotion running like a freight train with no brakes....it never stops
Eyes swell...
Tears fall down like a waterfall on a hot summer day....
Face gets red...
Body starts to overheat...
Suddenly your sweating...
Your mind never stops...
Never stops yelling...
Cant hear your own thoughts only the thoughts that haunt you at night when your trying to sleep. Cant because the angry thoughts just keep you up...
Cant shut them up....
Impossible to sleep up at 2..3...4.. In the morning till your brain finally gives and you finally fall asleep 8am comes... Wake up and start again... Till you lose your mind
Again....
