I craved for her presence
when my body wilted
and emanated heat waves

she was so cooling
and her touch and aura
reduced my illness

I recovered from
the fever
the fragrant basil tea
she served
so warm, mitigating my sorrows

she was all to me
my breath was hers
she spared her life force

she resided as
tear drops in me, it is
so soothing remembering
her absence

ammu, my ammu
where have you gone
please, let me touch your warm hands.........
