Music So Sweet Poem by Srivishnu Rentala

Music So Sweet

When seeds of sorrow,
In the middle of chaos
Overwhelm our welfare;
Don't go to a psychic
Looking for inner peace.
When fumes of frustration,
Cloud our normal senses
Plug in your earphones
And hit your favourite playlist.

Who said we need science
To travel through time?
Who said only wizards
Can open magical portals?
Just let tunes flow through
And give in to melody.
As you find yourself
Lost in an expanse of bliss.

Like the blazing fire
During cold winter nights
Or like the rays of sunshine
Through thundering typhoons,
The music envelops me
In a bubble of warmth
As I cherish ecstasy,
Oblivious to everything.

Whilst my favourite song
Whizzed through my ears,
In an instant I'm teleported
Through sweet memory lane.
My eyes shut, pronto,
All worries forgotten,
Inhibitions demolished,
All fears abolished
My soul swam in serenity
And life as i knew it
Come to a momentary standstill.
