Mushroom Soup Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Mushroom Soup

Mushroom soup

He, old-time-classmate
-and colleague as a pilot
-is here, retired…

We gather, once a while
-this time chose coffee-shop
- "Go, get me some soup, I
-have finished my Vodka! "
-I asked him and stopped.

Having been son of Khan
-he loves to talk and does.

I try patiently to listen
-and lend him both ears
- (one accepts and other
-is the exit to word-waves!)

But this time he answered
-the question of Hossein.

"When will the mullahs go? "
-was used as a starter, entrée.

My right hand held a spoon
-took soup and mouth was full
-so, nodded late or soon.

Khan-Zadeh and an ex-officer
-this time was a great narrator.

Connected the New Israel
-to the wars, Syria, USA
-to Russia and Europe;
-I pictured Julian Assange.

Not only was he right
-that sounded very wise:
- "The plan has worked well,
-tortured is Mid-East in a jail
-Israel is the bate; in deathbed."
