Moving On - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Moving On - Lincoln Park Zoo

We box turtles be on the move,
From Lincoln Park Zoo to the wild.
Tiz for the good, so we approve.
With nature we'll be reconciled.
Over a year ago we came
To the Zoo to hatch and to thrive
For something more than a shell game.
We're heading out healthy and live
To make our way, slow but sure.
Humans to study as we go,
To help our species endure.
Tiz all well worth it - doncha know!

Transmitters attached to us all,
Makes it good for turtle recall.
