Moving On Poem by Bill Cantrell

Moving On

Rating: 5.0

In the heights of the heart,
hangs a chandelier so bright
Some tears have been blessed,
your nightmares taken flight

How fitting is such timing,
as your very last petals are letting go
After all, life is returns to you again,
as time has let the sunshine glow

I tried to help you with the drought,
when no mercy was granted from the sky
A virtual shoulder was all I had,
No strings attached and you know why

May the rains bless you, oh precious flower
In the spring, may you dance with the beat of the wind
Drink the nectar of the light, reach high!
Do not let go when you find mister right

If by chance life takes a turn for the worst
Remember you have weathered storm after storm
Then I will burn all my poetry,
if for just one night, it keeps you warm
