Motherly Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Motherly

Motherly

She is in hospital
Her breast in child's mouth,
Not hers but
Of mother who was shot
In Kabul…by the mob.

This happened when you, I
Are thinking about job
And money for joy, fun…

With me, me
And I, I…

What am I?
Who am I?

In the world of kindness
I am an animal!

I better be ashamed
And shut up, keep silent,
Say goodbye to claim:
"I, too, am human! ? "

Soft, sweet, motherly
She spoke, talked shyly:
"My baby is four months."

If she is human
Honestly, I am not.

Want to leave cities, towns
To go live with the ones
That are said: "Are backward."

Hey angel who is there
To feed child, an orphan
With milk of your breast
Accept my deep respect
Bow to you, am humbled
Praise you and pray...
