Mother, My Soulmate Poem by Samudeen M.A. Ilimu

Mother, My Soulmate

Rating: 4.2

Where and how do I start?
You've always had a very big heart
A loving mother, a disciplinarian
An embodiment of a true humanitarian

Brought your kids up to believe in Allah
Hopefully one turns out to be an Islamic scholar
You invested in us to know The Light;
With Him, we'll overcome all evils; any blight

My mother, my truest soul-mate
I pray to live and follow your trait
You are my miracle, my blessing
My numbers one, two and three, no guessing

Words and rhymes just can't describe my love for you, Mom
A short loving tribute from your first-born son
