The Unloved Poem by Samudeen M.A. Ilimu

The Unloved

Why always me?
They always come and go
None had the patience
To really know me
I accept my imperfections
As it defines my humanness
Yet,
I feel dejected
No one loves me
I look up to the skies
In my solitude
Praying
And calling upon The Beloved
For companionship
I give in to You, O Beloved
Lead me to her if she is far
If she’s close,
Allow my heart to accept her
I am longing
And it’s hurting
