Mother Poem by Aanchal Regmi

I am surprised how much my mother's worth
it began with a pain to give me birth
which transformed into a love so strong
then blossomed into a life long bond.

when i needed she was always there
someone i realised would always care
and the older i got the more i knew
that a mother's love is pure and true.

now as i watch mum's age in years
i am happy to help her ease the fears
i am now ready to play my part
as she did for me from the very start.
