Morning Time Poem by Thandeka Best

Morning Time

Rating: 5.0

Wind blowing through my window,
Cars passing by overhead,
Birds chirp their happy melody,
Sunshine dances on the window sill,
Sheets crinkled in all shapes and patterns,
Mosquitoes dance around my bed,
Blue skies and white clouds greet me,
Racing thoughts inside my head,
Outstretched feet and back supported,
Voices outside in heavy conversation,
Electronics dispatched like little soldiers,
Music playing and exhaust burning,
Lights dimming and radios playing,
Showers cranking and food progressing
It's morning time wake my sleepy head
