Morgana Poem by CarolAnne Spalding

Morgana

She was birthed with an innate quality of power.
Such the High Priestess She shall be
When She becomes a woman.
And so, I named Her for a woman with power
The Highest Priestess.

A proud pillar of strength. Resonating beauty
Intelligence, determination, courage, love…
And I could offer more examples but one can
Already determine She is a young Goddess.

How dearly, deeply I love Her; without effort
Or conscious thought. So much She has taught me.
A child with so much to offer and lessons so abundant.
A blossoming Rose of Sharon, a Lily of the Valley.
I am in awe at how powerfully She carries Herself.
Demanding respect and accepting nothing less.

To a mere mortal, She is a spectacle impossible to avoid.
She captures your attention and heart.
One falls in love, immediately, within minutes
Of being in Her presence.

I am the teacher. But she is the one who has taught me.
Taught me the value, beauty and purpose of life.
Never did I understand the true meaning of love
Until I became aware of Her presence within my protective shell.
My body was Her dwelling place until She determined
What time She would grace our lives by entering our world.

And from the moment I sensed Her power, I knew
She was a High Priestess. I knew Mother Nature had granted me
A gift so precious, I will forever be honoured and thankful.
