I treaded down a path I never knew
Down familiar grounds where nothing was few but everything was new
Through thick forests where serpents and all the wild find rest
A naturalist haven, so peaceful to harbor nature's very best
I treaded, through a tapestry of spider webs never before disturbed
Weaving together trees both small and large
Keeping the sure streams peaceful, unperturbed
Shutting out intruders at large
I wonder,
I wonder how my nose poked its morning fog
How my ears were so deaf to the warning groans of owls and frogs
My feet so feeble yet so able to jump over the fallen logs
Taking me so deep into the canopy unexplored
I Walked on a beach so cozy
Waves so cold, unfrozen
Gently flooded my feet, I felt it
A surge of solace creeping up my spine
Gripping my senses, I was stun
A world I never knew existed
Bid me come, I couldn't resist it
'You may now kiss the bride', authority was granted
A stroke of pen on paper
Drew a horizon beyond the sun, greater
I found what I was looking for, but better
Absolutely beautifully worded poem. Nature is so beautiful, how can we not describe it with such delicacy as you did. Top score,10/10
