More Than A Moment. Poem by Luke Curcio

More Than A Moment.

You're just a hummingbird.

I never thought you be more than what you are.

Perhaps you never been far.

Of all the vast wonders I can travel between stars.

I would still come down to earth and be amazed by you.

And you be about your work. From one flower to another.

Beholding beauty as you taste its life.

Or maybe you're a menace as you feed on its force?

But I still be amazed as I behold you suspended in air.

For more than a moment I'd stare.
