Me And October. Poem by Luke Curcio

Me And October.

Rating: 5.0

Hello October. Was it I who waited for you? Or you who waited for me?

I've grown. Years are starting to wear marks on me.

I remember you from my youth. Running to catch your fallen leaves.

Are you running to catch my fallen dreams?

Luke, this is a very good poem, you handled the reins to it very well, keeping control of something that could have run away with you. You recalled my childhood play with fallen leaves and for that alone I thank you. The passing years went so well with the image of the fallen leaves. I hope you have more writings in store for us! 10

Susan, thank you so much! So encourging! I will keep posting poems as they come to mind. I'm glad someone else can share and understand the 'fallen leaves'. Definitely a childhood memory for me.
