More Over-Heard Conversations At The Party Poem by Lonnie Hicks

More Over-Heard Conversations At The Party

Rating: 2.7

'Bet you thought you were talking to me didn't you? '

'We have them just where they want us'

'If I am an hallucination, why are you talking to me? '

'You keep applying for the job of my supervisor. That job is taken.'

If I wanted someone to run my life, Dad, I wouldn't choose you.

Being right all the time is not enough.

'Sometimes you have to stoop to see your dreams.'

'I can sing but only in the bathroom'

I like you, but, only because you like me

The higher I reach on the step-ladder of life, the more likely I will fall.

'I like me because I got you to like me.'

'I would be perfect if I didn't have all these flaws.'

'If you give me a kiss I will run away and keep it forever'

'I like to be with my friends when I want to be alone among people'

'He told me he liked me, so I hit him.'

I told him that I was trying to be wrong, but that he was making that difficult.

'I was so drunk I tried to make a phone call with her barbie doll.'

'So I am trying to fish my cell phone out of the toilet and it rings and then
someone says hello, and I turn around and it is Bob.'

'So I said 'Don't come back to me just because I asked you to.'
