More Numbers

According to some of America's statistics
One percent of American's
Are farmers
Yet here in California
I am sure there is a greater percentage
Statistics claim
Non farming Californian's
Use twenty percent of water
Consumed or used here in California
Numbers show that California has
A two trillion dollar economy
Fifty billion of which
Is from agriculture
Which consumes
Eighty percent of California's water use
My question is
Why is a less than ten percent
I'm being generous here
Population of Californians
Being allowed to consume
Eighty percent
Of California's water
When the other
Ninety percent
Is only using
Twenty percent of
The water used annually
I'm totally confused
That the ninety percent
Is being asked
To cut back
By twenty five percent
F*** California farmers
I'll buy produce
From a third world country
At least until
The water supply
Is replenished
If such a thing
Will ever happen
