Moonlight In Abraka Poem by Humphrey Bryant

Moonlight In Abraka

Watch how the moon freezes the sky
How tiny stars
Of bright sequin flood the sky
Piercing on its face a tribal scar

Tales of late gathering
Echoes through the earth
From the horns of grey hairs
While the children
Frolic out in the new light,
Now fill the field
Like a congregation waiting for salvation

You think it's not beautiful?
