Monsters Poem by Kelly Aragon

Monsters

Rating: 5.0

Do you believe in monsters?
As they wait beneath your bed,
With claws and teeth and fur,
And wait to soon be fed.

They lie inside your closet,
And wait for you to scream,
While you leave fate to bet,
What happens in your dreams.

They’re waiting in the shadows,
With watchful yellow eyes,
To grab you by the toes,
And pull you deep inside.

So while you say that they’re not real,
You better pay attention,
They might be planning to kill you,
‘Cause that is their intention.
