Monsoon Poem by Ronald Chapman

Monsoon

I hate the rain! Monsoon season yucky!
Away the sunshine went out of my life,
Dark, gloomy feeling,
Sadness falling every day.

Umbrella a mild amusement.
What a difference,
Between grapefruit and mud.

Yet, I stoop and watch this garbage flow,
Oh! We fell many miles down a deep puddle.
I hate the rain! Monsoon season yucky!

A fact no mortal could abide,
I just want to hide!
I told the waiter; more chicken soup, please.
'My god! He's got a strawberry milk shake and fries.'

Hello, My name is sunshine. Have we ever met?
Yes, So long ago with the flowers of May.
