Money Over Love Poem by preeti shetty

Money Over Love

Rating: 5.0

Gone are the days when love was someone's priority

Settled, lavish, MONEY is all someone's primacy

Love can't be bought is what I was taught

Left the lover for the lust of money and mien

Year's together but nothing matters now

Marry into money is the bitter truth of now

Given a wand, a chance to change

I would ask for the importance of love back into human race....P.S

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have a friend who had a break up and the reason was she found a better looking and much much richer guy than the previous one. It hurt me to realize that people are buying or rather selling their love.

One requires only two square meals a day to survive; greed has no end.....this is beautifully captured in your lovely lines...
