Mom Poem by Jones Cooper

Mom

Rating: 5.0

I carried you in my arms, like you used to carry me
I fed you with my hands, like you used to feed me
I bathed you with my care, like you used to bathe me
I loved you with my heart, like you used to love me
I buried you with so much pain, like you birthed me
I miss you Mom!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I moved in with my mom for what I thought would be a couple of months of rehabilitation from the damage occurred from a series of mini strokes. I ended up living with her for just a little over three years, until she passed away from dementia.

Lovely dedication to a late mum, written from inner recesses of the heart with beautiful rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing Jones.
