Mom Poem by Raymond Valadez

Mom

Allow me to simply display my gratitude. I can never equal your worth. Even if I lived a million years on this earth. My God created you last after everything because he wanted to take his time. My first memories were of you my first word was for you and my first steps were because of you. When I think about the hardship you endure for me. My soul aches because I was a mere baby and I could not help you. How afraid you must of been when you found out about me? I wonder what feelings of happiness you felt in your heart when you picture me in your mind for the first time. Who but you wishes the best for me! And the day I was born you confronted death for me. I remember all the night you spent by my side all the time and you told me everything was going to be all right. I just want to tell you my God has blessed me for giving me a woman like you to be my mother, I would never be half the man you are. The most precious most amazing most incredible and most of all most beautiful creation on the universe.
