In today’s modern technology romance can be so inspiring
Text messages sent from sea to sea
What happiness little words can bring

Pictures flashing through air waves
Sent to bring a smile
Or just help you make it through long days

But perhaps the best
Is when one moves up to be the wallpaper on your screen
Then you know they have forgotten the rest

Ah modern romance you are so different than times past
No more hand written scripts on scented stationary
But who am I to say if this will last

Before we know something else will come along
Micro chips… golly knows where
But one thing I pray will never change is the sweet sound of romance’s song
