Missing You Ii Poem by Dennis Murphy

Missing You Ii

Rating: 5.0

Your wick is lit, As it burns now I'm duty free
Then I did something surprising, I lit another you see
As the first one brightens, Cherished memories come to light
The second one is my torch, I'm leaving this with you tonight

So be that woman, To which all others are secretly compared
And I'll be that man, Testing the waters to see how I've fared
I'm taking back with both hands, My zest and zeal for life
To you was my most attractive quality, Before all this strife

You being comfortable being yourself, Thats what did it for me
Please accept this pen-nance, I can't take anymore you see
So now I'm leaving it with you, My beautiful burden no longer mine
How can this be wrong, You no-longer occupy my space or time

So I'll call her I'm thinking, With your good grace
We'll even go somewhere the wine is good, Just in case
After giving you my love, Baby I'm not half as blue
An exciting and interesting time ahead, Because she isn't you

Love always Denny
