Missing The Bird Sounds Poem by Katinka Havermans

Missing The Bird Sounds

The swallows have flown away
While summer hasn't even begun
Clouds of white and grey
Play a game in the sky with the sun
I lie in the grass and chill
Not even a peep from the birds
Everything is quiet and still
I can't even find the words
To say how sad that makes me…
