Mirrors And Ana Poem by Elannia Lake

Mirrors And Ana

Rating: 5.0

She said 'break the mirror'
The thing that told her lies
She wants to see it shatter
As all it's misleading words die.

It helped her see herself
In the worst possible way
Exercise until she almost died
Hurt herself and starve and waste away.

She blames it on the mirrors
When it's all inside her head
Put into action by her peers
And all the hurtful things they've said.

Inside she wants to die
Bleed out until she's gone
She sees what that would do to me
And she's held out this long.

The lies she's been fed
Hurt her and caused so many tears
The sadness inside her head
Brought out all her fears.

She blames it on the mirrors
When it's all inside her head
Put into action by her peers
And all the hurtful things they've said.

I blame it on the deceiver
Trying to get inside her head
Working in her peers
Repeating all the hurtful things they've said.
