Mirror, Mirror Poem by Evelyn Ward

Mirror, Mirror

Hold up the mirror like a mask
You see me doing what I do best
I look like you
But I'm untrue
This isn't who I am

Behind the mimicry there lies
A quiet girl with frightened eyes
I only seem
To be your dream
I'm someone else inside
