Evelyn Ward Poems

I am aware of all the reasons
That people use as excuses
To give up
I bet it all and fully knew
...

Roses are red, violets are blue
Actually, violets are purple,
So the poem isn't true.
Daises are white but still grow in the dirt
...

She sways and whispers, like the wisps of smoke
Winding like a snake,
Dancing to create
An illusion to conceal the past she broke
...

Sometimes I just sit
Staring out the window of a thousand dreams
Reflecting on my memories
Of a world I left behind
...

5.

The echoes of a thousand different memories
Filter through my mind
I've tried to forget, tried to move on
But I can't leave them behind
...

I'm gonna teach you
A new kind of frigid
A new kind of livid
A cold to send chills down your spine
...

Hold up the mirror like a mask
You see me doing what I do best
I look like you
But I'm untrue
...

8.

Moon, you are so bright and proud, distinguished by your shining stars
Moon, your voice is clear and loud, I always know just where you are
Moon, you are so smart and strong, capable in every way
You make me long to belong, to you; tell me, what do you say?

The Best Poem Of Evelyn Ward

The Fall

I am aware of all the reasons
That people use as excuses
To give up
I bet it all and fully knew
That I might lose it all
Such is the nature of love
My hopeful heart might fall
Dashed into a thousand pieces
On the rocks below
I know.
If so,
I will go
Into the jaws of insanity,
With my arms spread in vain
Laughing and grinning as insane
People do

All for you...

My love is true.
