Miranda Did Say Poem by Francis Duggan

Miranda Did Say

'Tis over between me and Teddy, Miranda did say
He has found a new lover and I've gone my own way
Our brief fling a temporary affair of the heart
In my life he will not play a further part
I cannot say that he was a good lover Ted
I've known many who were far better in bed
But he has a big ego like most other men
If you ask me to rate him I'd give him four out of ten
Single and childless in her mid twenties with brown shoulder length hair
The lovely Miranda is unshackled by care
She says luck is not with me when it comes to the male kind
That good men are as rare as hen's teeth and quite hard to find
And though he once asked her for to become his wife
She is not sorry that Teddy is out of her life.
