Mind Over Matter.

I am stronger than I look.
I am stronger than you think I am.
I am stronger than I think I am
Sometimes.

I can be your savior.
I can wear the halo.
I can carry you
Because I am stronger than heaven or the hell
Of knowing
That you would never do the same.

I would save you.
I would shoulder your burdens.
I would keep you from drowning
In the sea of self-pitying tears you''ve cried.

I am stronger than I look to you.
I am stronger than you think I am.
(Do you think of me at all?)
I am stronger than I think I am.
Sometimes I am strong enough
To let you discover your own weakness.
Strong enough to let you go.

Poem of the Day

poet Christopher Marlowe

It lies not in our power to love or hate,
For will in us is overruled by fate.
