Miles Apart
When you look into his eyes
And find no love anymore
Then you try to make him think of the good times before
But you feel that sudden pain
Coz everything's in vain
The moment you realize
It takes away your soul
That,
Your hearts are miles apart
hearts are miles apart...
When you hear his voice
So harsh and dry
And the things that he doesn't say
Start making you cry
And you feel that sudden pain
Coz everything's in vain

Then you see him happy
With his new life
Laughing and clapping
With his future wife
But all that matters is
That smile on his face
So you let the things go by
Slowly in pace
And still somewhere you feel
Could you be just friends?

And still somewhere you feel Could you be just friends? But, that moment you realize That, Hearts are miles apart.. hearts are miles apart... seeing him laughing with his new wife and hoping to be still friends with him and to realize the hearts are apart miles and miles away.....sad, pathetic.sense of loss still loving........ life and its problems and the pains of relationship..... very well written poem. thank you very much dear poetess. tony
'Miles Apart' is a wonderful poem, where you have successfully portrayed the trials and tribulations of a heart that is dejected and forlorn, by unrequited love. you have raised a pertinent question.....the answer lies with everybody....love is just a phase like a passing cloud....emotion regarding the past is a poison which pollutes the future........better to forget this past incident by diverting the mind into many unexplored fields..
