Midnight In Kaipo Poem by Justin Gildow

Midnight In Kaipo

It's midnight in Kaipo
And I can't sleep
So after walking around my room a bit to feel more awake
I grab my nighttime clothes and put them on
And leave through the door of my house

As I step outside
A beautiful melody is played on a harp

I let the sweet sound lead me through Kaipo
And sitting by the water
Is a bard playing his harp

I don't say anything to him
I just sit down and watch for a moment
Then I close my eyes and listen

As the bard continues to play
I look up at the sky

The music he plays
Makes this night feel more elegant
And it adds a certain importance to the stars and moon tonight

I think to myself
While it's midnight in Kaipo
This adds a wonderful finishing touch to the night
