Mental Stillness Poem by Jim Boone

Mental Stillness

Rating: 5.0

Begins with going against
the grain of individuality

Suppressing who you are
trying to be what others
need or want you to be

Losing touch with self and
the world according to
a universal plan.

Too much, too little; to wait
incubates a stillness
that can shatter a soul

But will not keep
a good man down.

Back from the brink
settled and at ease

I assessed the damage
and forgot ending anything

Turned over asset creation
and management to
the universe, in which
I am only a spec

Thought about an update
to carnal knowledge

Wondered how to override
limp side effects
went all natural and
rediscovered the turn-on
of mutual seduction.

I’ll take what I can’t give
give what no one
nor past mental stillness
can ever take away

Do ya’ feel the beat?
Bam-pa-da-bam-bam
Can we create some heat?

Ba-da-da, slow hand
Bo-do-do, easy touch
Fung-gi-na, juicy lips
Boom-pa-pa - Gentlemen
Start your engines...
