A Friendship Poem by Jim Boone

A Friendship

Rating: 3.8

I came here to meet you
Not knowing you exist
At first you appeared
As a fantasy, but now
We've come to this.

My eyes caused me
To move closer
As my ears picked up
The beat of an inner self
That excites my Soul
Cusing it to stir and speak.

We are different and the same
Emotional, unemotional
Interested, curious
Wind and calm
Ice and fire
Guarded and free

I love the feeling of deliverance
Knowing you has given me.
We share great energy
Things felt and locked away
A friendship has begun
A kinship that transcends
Time and space
Growing stronger with each 'hello'
With the dawn of each new day.
Always a friend with benefits
Befitting a friend like you.
