Memory Laid To Rest Poem by Ann Beard

Memory Laid To Rest

Rating: 3.0

So brightly each memory laid to rest,
like a gentle retreat of an eager tide.

Continues to shine on the darkest night,
as delicate senses sooth and caress.

A tear escapes during darkest hours
moistening thoughts of those who died.

Awakening moments with each sweet soul.
Arousing an instinct to reunite.

I enjoyed reading this. It evokes the feeling of having just left the funeral of a loved one. Thanks for posting it.
