Memories We'Ve Made Poem by Keli Mims

Memories We'Ve Made

I look back to the memories we've made,
And how much I pray they will stay.
Of parties going late into the night,
Stupid, funny, playful little fights.
Laying in your backyard looking at the stars,
Summer nights you walk me to my car.
Lightsaber battles in the pouring rain,
Smiling at the wrong time, you're to blame.
With my anteater and your flamingo,
Are inside jokes no one will know.
On a frozen creek in the dark winter time,
My camera flashes and leaves us blind.
Playing apples to apples with your family,
Going head to head playing Call of Duty.
Our finger puppets Diego, Miguel, y Marisol,
On Mountain Dew we lose all control.
Making jokes about me being clumsy,
We both love twenty-one because it's seven times three.
How much I pray that these will stay,
All the memories we've made
