Memories Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Memories

Often in life's quiet moments,
We revisit those places where
Joy and sorrow framed our lives.
There are those times we laugh and
Cry, sometimes, we don't know why.
It soothes when honesty is allowed
To prowl.
Hearts beat faster and we run back
To that safe place where memories
Are put to rest and we close our eyes
To linger in the folds where tomorrows
Await us.
