Memories Poem by Sarah Lord

Memories

If blind is what I shall become,
Then I shall take the pain so gracefully,
For it shows my true and pure human sum,
I shall still count my steps as carefully,

Growing old will never scare me no it can’t,
I fear not of the lines upon my face,
My youth was hard I continue to Chant,
I do not care that I have lost my grace,

When I consider how my life is spent,
Forever has always been much too long,
Away from my troubles I shall now be sent,
Now my life will come to its final song,

It was never what I did not finish,
But the memories I can not diminish.
