Me Poem by Standing in the Silence of Your Pain

Me

Rating: 5.0

Some days I'm on top of the world.
I'm a vibrant yellow,
Soaking up the smiles,
From every direction around me.

Some days I'm as black as ink spilling from an inkwell.
I'm in my hole,
the withdrawn hiding place within me,
And I paste on a smile so no one will notice

Somedays I really sparkle in a shade of purplish-blue
that matches the Northern Lights.
Nothing can bring me down,
And the true-Me can shine.

Best poem ive read on here so far... probably coz it makes sense and the choice of words is really good. Ive never heard the phrase 'paste on a smile' and i really like it, i like the use of complete new and original phrases.its got a lovely flow. was lovely to read :)
