Maybe One Day Poem by Ellia Keil

Maybe One Day

Rating: 5.0

Maybe one day
We can be a family
Instead of two people in one house

Maybe one day
We can have a girl's night
Instead of you going out to get drunk

Maybe one day
You'll actually care that your words hurt
Instead of carelessly throwing them at me

Maybe one day
You can learn to love who I am
Instead of telling me who I should be

Maybe one day
You'll stop blaming me for his leaving
And understand he would've left anyway

Maybe one day
You'll stop muttering about how you should of had an abortion
And be glad you didn't

Maybe one day
You'll learn to call me daughter
Instead of mistake

Maybe one day
