Mary, Did You Know Poem by Randy McClave

Mary, Did You Know

Mary, did you know?
The debt that we all did owe,
And the pain that we all have felt
Would be erased, after being dealt.
Did you know that you were going to have a son
For you have found favor with the holy one,
And he will be man's salvation
For everyone since the world's creation.
Did you know that he would heal the ill
Without using doctors, or a pill,
And that he would even raise the dead
From words only which he could have said.
Did you know that he would let the blind see
And that he would walk on top of the sea,
And that he would feed thousands with 5 loaves and 2 fish
All just because it was his wish.
Did you know that it would be your child
And he will also be God when he smiled,
And then when our sins upon him would be laid
He will then look and smile and say, they're paid.
For the world he will suffer and then will have died
On the cross he will be crucified,
But, then after 3 days in the tomb
His life and his teachings he will then resume.
Did you know that was God's ultimate plan
He wanted to save every woman and man,
Your son will erase pain and sin and woe
Mary, did you know?
