Marital Allegiance Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

Marital Allegiance

Rating: 5.0

My allegiance to you is steadfast,
My life is filled with hope against hope.
When issues rise and disturb me,
You give me the courage to cope.

I don't lose faith when things go awry
For I know you will always be at my side.
Graciously you were able to truly understand,
And serve me as a loyal and staunch guide.

You recognized my problems and cared,
And attempted to salvage my every need.
I always cherished a desire for fulfillment,
And you were always at my side willing to heed.

You always calmed my wounded spirit
And smoothened my wrinkled brow.
You always filled my weary heart with joy,
Your binding, nuptial vows were never on trial.

I won't lose my faith or be overly dismayed
Because I know your love is true,
And you will always help me to find success
In everything I attempt to do.

Your poem describes marriage as it was meant to be in biblical terms. That's excellent.
