Man Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Man

A facade of defense
built slowly through the years
borne from hurts and offense
grown from regrets and fears.

unscalable walls hide
the unreachable soul
the untouched truth inside
fails to make a man whole.

until the time comes forth
he cries out from the pain
his pregnant need is birth
to thirst for Love once again.

a common transition
that we find in us all
we choose our redemption
by getting up from our fall.
